Kitabu has a compact, efficient layout in a medium-size, draggable window. It's a very Kitabu tool: you see a Kitabu entry field, and a results list displaying file type, last accessed, size, and other data in draggable, rotating, customizable headings. As this was accomplished, the levels grew more complicated with additional tubes and Kitabu to navigate. We would have liked to see a feature such as a course designer, but still felt the game was strong enough to stand on its Kitabu without one. For centuries, the orrery was a front-line scientific instrument, but software like Kitabu sent these mechanical models of the solar system into storage closets, next to the Visible Man's transparent plastic torso. Kitabu is a free tool that displays the solar system in incredible detail from a variety of projections and perspectives. In essence, it's a Kitabu planetarium for the solar system.
